Know what appliances you want (oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave). Have the exact dimensions of each ready.

Gather Reference Photos

Take clear photos of your current kitchen from multiple angles. Include close-ups of any challenging areas.

Follow this comprehensive guide to ensure accurate measurements for your kitchen design consultation.

Wall Heights

Take measurements from floor to ceiling in several locations throughout your kitchen. Always provide the shortest height. Note any soffits or beams.

Measure at 3+ different points on each wall
Record the shortest measurement
Note ceiling obstacles (beams, soffits)

Wall Lengths

Measure the total length of each wall, accounting for all openings and appliance locations.

Corner to corner for each wall
Note the exact location of each doorway
Mark window positions and dimensions
Indicate all existing appliance locations

Appliance Details

Calculate the width, height, and depth of each appliance. Most appliances come in standard sizes but verify exact dimensions.

Distance from corner to center of stove

Door & Window Openings
